He presses the triggers. And like roses in his hands, death blooms.

Oh, poor baby. Did I hurt the mass-murdering psychopathic artificial intelligence's feelings?

The universe was here before you, and it will go on after you. The only way it will remember you is if you do something worthy of remembrance.

Welcome aboard, Reader!

Get ready for a thrilling space adventure you won't forget...

Illuminae, the first book of the The Illuminae Files - series, features a dystopian outlook of Planet Earth and space in the year 2575. This novel follows the inhabitants and the escapers of Earth as they travel through space, attempting to flee the grasp of their enemies. Illuminae is a composition and collection of files, including interviews, recordings, and transcriptions, that follow the course of destructive events and the lives of Kady and Ezra.

Rule of threes? You bet!

1. Entertaining and Thrilling

WOW. I was not expecting to find myself instantly hooked by a space story, but without doubt, by the end of chapter one, I was ready to binge read the entire novel. lluminae presents an exciting and dramatic plot with unexpected twists and turns. The authors' use of suspense and foreshadowing make the novel intriguing and addicting, and I found myself carrying the book everywhere I went just in case I could fit in a page or two. ;)

2. Humorous and Captivating

This novel is packed with brilliant characters exemplifying entertaining wit, style, and great character development. The variety of personalities and characterisation bring humanity into space and demonstrate the challenges of mundane life in an amusing and engaging manner. By page 12 of the novel, I was already grinning and cracking up.

Ah, these are the literary moments I live for.

3. Devastating and Emotional

When picking up this novel, expect not only the eeriness of space travel, but also, the mass destruction of space warfare. This novel contains mass annihilation, madness and psychological devastation, and deaths of the innocent. These characteristics of Illuminae transform the novel into an emotional, intense, and entertaining story.

If you're looking for a cheerful and happy space travel, look elsewhere. :)

All in all, I fell in love with this novel and I recommend it to all readers who enjoy addicting adventures and brilliant characters. I cannot wait to pick up book two: Gemina.
